Week 3 - Navigating with DHTML
Homework -
- Install a working example of the Foldout Menu discussed above in your own Web page. Follow the step-by-step instructions given in this lesson to install and customize the script to suit your own preferences. (This page)
- Choose two more of the DHTML menu scripts listed above and experiment with them. Follow the instructions supplied within each script and install them on your own Web pages. Remember, you can modify the configurable items to blend with your site and give your menus a unique look and feel, but don't fiddle with the rest of the code or you may break the script and will never figure out how to fix it! (If that happens, simply go back to the ZIP file, extract the original script, and start over.)
When you finish Tasks 1 and 2, upload your work to your Web site and post the URLs where your work can be viewed on the class bulletin board.

Use your favorite search engine to locate other Web sites which offer free DHTML menu scripts. Check out some of the demos and share a few links to menu scripts that you especially like. Post those links on the class bulletin board. If you feel inspired, try installing one of these menu scripts on your own Web page.
