Flood Filling with a Pattern in PSP7

After selecting the area to be filled, make sure you have your pattern open if you are using one you made, and click on the flood fill .

Then click on the little triangle on the styles button , then on the dotted square.

The styles button will now be a pattern (not necessarily the one here, but the last one you used), click on the styles button, and the
pattern box opens.

Click on the down arrow/triangle beside the current pattern and choose your pattern
NOTE: If you are using the trial program or have not installed the patches, and your fill image is a .gif, you will need to change the size in the scale box to something other than 100 (99 or 101 will work fine) BEFORE choosing that image. This tip was posted on the class bulletin board and it does work to keep your program from crashing.

I just used the brick pattern, your pattern should be at the very top of the pattern images. You can also change the angle of the fill, so I could have chosen to have the bricks going up and down or even at a 45 degree angle.

Click OK and your area should be filled with the pattern you chose. The border for this page is what I made with the brick pattern.
