Assignment - Since it is obligatory for everyone who starts using Bryce to make a sphere and a body of water, (this is a funny that every Bryce forum I've ever visited will say. Matter of facts... I think they're right. more than 90 percent of us will render a sphere and a body of water the very first render we do) reflecting the sphere, this first assignment will be to do just that. You can apply any of the preset materials to your sphere, and any of the water presets to the water plane. You can also add any primitive and as many terrains as you want to. If you're really brave, try to add a radial light (on the create tool bar), and move it with the mouse till you get a light position that you like.

Couldn't resist turning the sphere into a "beach ball" and adding an "unkown object" on the island. Fun, fun, fun!!!!

Another try, same island, playing with glass sphere and putting the tree object
behind it, and changing the camera angle. Looks like the tree is inside
it.

Just had to play some more. The spaceship is from the Boolean Objects folder of
the installed objects. The texture is the eyeball texture. Rotated
the spaceship and added a light object and finally got it to rotate and shine
where I wanted it to. Changed to one of the installed skies and got this
nice reddish cloudy sky.
Looks like a nighttime spaceship recovery to me!
