Week 1 - Homework

Homework Assignment - Now it's time for you to get your creative juices flowing. Using your image editor of choice, try these mini challenges:
Create a simple full-size textured background paper. (Give yourself an extra pat on the back if you don't use any plugins.) Resize the result so that it's no more than 600 pixels in its largest dimension and post the result on your homework site. Please keep the file size to no more than 100K.

Left to right: PSE2 - Filter/Render/Difference Clouds. and I don't remember the starting colors, but I love the results I got; PSE2 - Microsoft clip art on separate layer with blend mode set to burn and transparency turned down (this thumb is tileable), and I was able to do the same image in PSP8; PSP8 - Using a pattern image I made last year to get a quick and easy starred background (this thumb is tileable); PSP8 - Using JASC's letter texture in yellow over green solid.
NOTE: Click each square to see full sized image, then come back here.

Create two seamless tiles: one stripe, gingham, or plaid tile; and one seamless tile made using the Offset method. Post both tiles on your site so that other students can download your tiles and try them out.

Visit two or three homework sites of your fellow students. Download some of the tiles they've created and try them out for yourself.

These were fun and I had trouble stopping, so I can see there will be no problems making my own papers. Looking forward to the next lesson and seeing what other classmates are doing.
