My Introduction and Reasons for taking this class

Having previously taken mostly graphics and javascript classes, I decided it was time I learned how to design a better web page and learn the "principles of design". I am hoping this class will help me.

I love making my own graphics, especially using Paint Shop Pro (PSP). I like designing pages, but my web site is all mixed up, too many designs and directions. I want to make something that has some direction and maybe a theme or design that will be recognized as mine or as least all belonging to one person and consistent throughout a specific set of pages.

In the past, there has been so many different things I wanted to do with my web pages: display my graphics and page designs, talk about subjects that mean something to me, take classes, and help others by teaching what I have learned. See, I have no direction, or rather too many directions.

I'm in my 50's and looking to retire from my current job of computer tech support to something I can do from my home and I would like to do web design and graphics for others. I'm hoping this class will help and hoping to make new friends along the way.
