Week 2 - Homework

Homework Assignment -
"Monochromatic layouts are a simple way to create effective layouts for your photos. Start by taking a look at your photos and decide on the color which would highlight them in the best way. Then use only variations of that basic color (with white touches here and there when necessary) in your layout. Shades of green, shades of blue, shades of brown, shades of red, shades of yellow……."

hellen5's monochromatic layout
In PSP8 we did paint chips for monochromatic layouts, using photos and variations of colors, and learned more about the color palette. Then we put together a monochromatic layout with ribbons and tacks (the tack is mine), framing our photos to match and tucking them under the ribbons (Sally's ribbon, recolored), then adding simple tags with simple journaling.
apple green paint chip
Here is my paint chip for this layout, using the greens in the the apple photo and adding fall leaf colors for accent in one tag and the slide mount (both made in the Designing Digital Scrapbook Components class here at LVS).
