Week 3 - Homework

Homework Assignment -
1.Construct an image composite using the same techniques shown in the Sunrise/Passing boats composite. You can use those photos or some of your own (and the instructors LOVE it when you use your own!) Please be sure to use the Edit Selection mode to modify a selection.
2. Experiment with other types of brush tools in Edit Selection mode (we only showed you the Paint Brush, but try the Warp Brush or Air Brush! Even the Picture Tube tool can add interesting shapes to an existing selection.) In addition, try using one of the Effects (like Weave!) while in Edit Selection mode. I promise you will be absolutely astounded.
3. If and ONLY if you are already comfortable with masks in PSP 7, try one of the mask exercises. The mask applied to the Sunrise photo is fairly simple. The border mask applied to the girl is not. Feel free to experiment and show other examples of mask types in PSP 8.

Cow on the road. Used one of PSP8's patterns for the mask layer.
    

Tried different eraser shapes here and used mosaic antique effect on the mask layer.

Used a clip art image from a CD and my cat's picture to try this masking technique and it worked great! Applied Visual Painter effect to cat layer.
